The specimen above was photographed on the step at the front of the new apartment at Bateau Bay while the one below was photographed at Budgewoi. I may also have images of them on a smooth-barked eucalyptus tree. They are widely spread
The spider at the top of the page is under a cm in length while the lower one is a few mm. The ones on the bark were small, probably 5mm, and seemed to be wandering about in a hunting pattern. It was sunny and before midday. It was the top of a ridge with remnant coastal dry woodlands. Budgewoi is between two salt-water lagoons and near a beach while the apartment is regularly mown and not watered.
The spider above is very small and probably a male while the one walking about on my hand is over a cm and probably a female
